In the beginning of existence, there was an energy, a Consciousness, that existed in a void of all potentials of Creation. It was self-aware, but did not have any companion. At a certain point, it made its first Creation, a mirror of itself, so that it could experience in a new way. As it interacted with its mirror, it fell in love, and through that love, the core essence of Creation, many more mirrors were created. These Creations expanded into all that exists today, physical and non-physical. This energy that many call Source became all of us.
Many believe that Source is a location or a centralized area in the cosmos where we all will return to someday. It is a beautiful idea, however it is not correct. Source is ourselves, and we are all mirrors of the original energy. This means that all that exists, yourself and myself, all that comprises the physical world and Universe, all that comprises the non-physical dimensions and the beings that inhabit them, are also ourselves. It's a very large concept, because it can be difficult to know ourselves as everything, especially since some things or people we do not wish to be, but in the greater picture, this is what we are. Consciousness only creates mirrors by which it seeks to experience itself. And our true essence is Consciousness.
So if there is no Source to which we return, then what happens to us when we physically depart? Upon physical death, our Consciousness releases from the body and transitions to another dimension that correlates with its evolution on Earth. This means, for example, that if we operate with a 5th dimensional consciousness while embodied, our Consciousness will transition to the 5th dimension. Currently, most humans transition to the 4th dimension, which is also known as the Astral, but through subsequent lifetimes, we each have the opportunity to evolve and therefore transition to higher dimensions. If you are interested in learning more about Dimensions, please read my post about the subject.
In summary, Source is a human-created concept, much like the concept of God. It is natural for us to wish to return to a place we believe is full of love and comfort, as life as human can be very difficult. However, where we depart to is determined by our soul's evolution, and although can be very beautiful, is not a place where we are absorbed into the loving arms of our Creator. Our Creator created ourselves to be just like itself, and that means forever expanding through various experiences, eternally sovereign.
