Perfection and Peace

Updated: Mar 6

There is a common belief in an evolutionary ceiling wherein we are considered to be “perfected” and there is no more personal development nor anything we must do on the Earth. This perception is attached to the belief in "enlightenment," namely that we reach a pinnacle of consciousness and are therefore energetically immaculate.

However, a core knowledge I have attained from my experience, is that self-evaluation and self-work is ongoing, and does not end, even if you have embodied higher levels of multidimensionality. What is inherent to consciousness evolution is a burning desire to refine one’s self, to continually work to release all inauthentic programming which entails clearing all fear, and this process takes years, and often lifetimes, to accomplish. Refinement is directly linked to discernment, and as we expand we naturally choose to clear what does not resonate, knowing we are allowing ourselves to hold higher vibrational frequencies which support the utilization of our multidimensional abilities. We diligently work to maintain clarity, and that is our primary and continual focus no matter what level of consciousness we carry, or how many years we have been awake.

When I worked in the energetic field, often when I mentioned to clients who endeavored understand energetic plateaus as well as areas of advancement, they were surprised when I described that the process of purification extends for the duration of their lifetime. Many believed, as I once did, that we eventually become perfected, and the sky metaphorically opens, the clouds part, the sun holds us in a brilliant beam of light, and we take a deep breath, sigh, and relax, knowing our work here is completed. In a greater sense, this is most likely what we feel when we are leaving incarnation, but while embodied, we are always works in progress.

When we awaken, and for years afterward, there is a substantial amount of energetic density that arises to be released. As our level of consciousness expands, our amount of self-clearing gradually diminishes, but even if we have done the bulk of the work, there are underlying residual layers that remain and filter out over time. Understanding that with each moment and with each choice we can transform ourselves, self-work is not so much seen as a burden, but an empowering liberation, a challenge of which we are strongly pulled to accomplish. This pull reflects the natural process of evolutionary expansion, and propels us to continue working toward holding higher levels of awareness.

There is an internal peace that progressively manifests as we work toward being energetically clear. We tangibly understand the immense power we have to change ourselves and our experiences, and no longer feel subject to external influences. As we release restrictions, we gain heightened perception, which enables us to live more fearlessly. I would not equate peace with perfection, but view it as a balanced state of being that holds all potentials of creative manifestation. By embodying peace, we embody self-confidence, stability, and self-sufficiency, and do not seek outward for validation. We keep our power within and use it to continue to grow, and to help support those of whom request our assistance.

From a consciousness perspective, peace is the ultimate state we seek, as if we can hold peace, we have conquered the chaotic human condition and reached a significant level of self-mastery. However, if we believe there is a “perfect” ending to self-improvement, we counteract the course of evolution, and prevent ourselves from expanding in extraordinary ways. So, there is no goal of perfection to reach, and no limit to our development. What exists, instead, is our continual choice to create peace within that supports advances in our multidimensional awareness.
